Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Shrewsbury. We have a shared vision, united in love, service and faith with Jesus Christ at the centre of all that we do, inspiring our pursuit of excellence so that our schools can work together to improve the outcomes, experiences and future life chances of our children and young people.
Formed in 2014 as Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Academy Trust, we were renamed in 2023 to Our Lady Help of Christians, the patron saint of the Diocese of Shrewsbury. On September 1st 2025 we begin the academic year as a family of fifteen schools

We do not just prepare pupils for exams. We prepare them for life. At OLHOC, we believe that academic success should sit alongside spiritual growth, emotional development and strong moral foundations. Our schools support every child to grow in confidence, resilience and compassion, so they can go out into the world with purpose. Faith is not something separate from education. It is part of how we form character, build community and help young people understand their role in the world. If you believe education should be about the whole child, follow us to see how we live this out every day. #SpiritualGrowth #MoralEducation #ValuesLed #Kindness #wholechildeducation

Really enjoyed leading an NPQSEND session today with a group of aspiring SENDCos from the OLHOC Trust. We focused on the role of the SENDCo in improving teaching and learning for pupils with SEND, and on how professional development for staff is a key lever for improving outcomes – not something that sits alongside the role. There were some really strong discussions about how the SENDCo role looks different in different settings, including across primary, secondary and specialist provision, and depending on the size, structure and maturity of SEND systems within schools and trusts. What came through clearly, though, was a shared commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and to SENDCos as leaders of learning, not just systems and processes. A thoughtful and engaged group, and a reminder of the value of space for professional dialogue like this. #npqsendco #cheshireschools #olhoc

Our schools are more than buildings. They are part of something bigger. OLHOC schools are deeply connected to their local communities. Pupils and staff regularly take part in local events, support parish life and contribute to initiatives that serve those in need. From food bank collections to Remembrance services, we teach our children that faith and action belong together. This sense of service is a vital part of our ethos. It teaches pupils that they have a role to play in their communities and that every small act of kindness matters. Tell us how your school connects with its community – we would love to share your story. #ValuesLed #Community #OLHOC #SchoolCommunity #FoodBank #RememberanceService #FaithSchool

One of the most joyful things about being part of a Trust like OLHOC is sharing in each other's successes. Whether it is a school receiving a brilliant Ofsted report, pupils winning an award, or a staff member going above and beyond, we celebrate it together. These are the moments that build community, remind us why we do what we do, and show what is possible when schools support each other. We encourage staff and parents to follow us and check out the other schools in our family. You can see them all on the website. #OLHOC #SchoolSuccess #CatholicEducation #CatholicSchool

Amazing work. Thank you so much all involved. A very emotional day for all All Hallows Catholic College

In every OLHOC school, there are moments that might seem small from the outside but have a lasting impact on the children experiencing them. A quiet word of encouragement before a test. A helping hand in the playground. A creative breakthrough in art. A moment of prayer and reflection at the start of the day. These moments shape confidence, build resilience and help young people feel known and valued. They are the foundations of a great education and the reason our schools focus on the whole child, not just outcomes. We will always celebrate the achievements, but we also see the beauty in the everyday. #Reflection #SmallMoments #Celebrate #CatholicEducation #OLHOC
